The Living Garden is a one-of-a-kind work of nature-inspired fine art, created from a peaceful gathering of green gemstones, warm copper, honeycomb, and the beloved bee.
The composition moves through many shades of green — from pale translucent mint and fresh spring green to deeper forest and moss tones. Each stone brings its own markings, texture, and relationship with light, creating the feeling of a tiny landscape gathered from the earth.
The large luminous green stone at the lower portion appears consistent with green agate or green chalcedony, with beautiful translucence and soft variations running through the material. Its gentle color becomes an anchor for the entire composition.
Several polished green stones throughout the piece appear consistent with green aventurine and chrysoprase, bringing soft botanical shades and a smooth natural glow. The darker polished green stone adds a deeper forest tone, while smaller mottled rounds introduce earthy pattern and movement.
One of the most interesting stones is the darker patterned piece near the center. Its mixture of deep green, black, cream, and earthy markings resembles African turquoise jasper or another naturally patterned jasper, giving the artwork the feeling of stone, moss, and forest floor meeting in one place.
Smaller green beads and rounds continue the movement through the sculpture, with tones visually consistent with green agate, aventurine, jasper, and turquoise-family stone.
Hand-shaped copper gently winds among the stones like vines finding their way through a garden, connecting each natural element while allowing every stone to keep its own shape and individuality.
A jeweled bee and small honeycomb details rest naturally within the composition, bringing the mineral world together with the world of flowers and pollinators.
What makes this piece especially beautiful is the harmony of its colors. Nothing feels forced. The soft greens, darker mineral markings, warm copper, and botanical forms simply belong together.
